Day 1 Amman Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Amman. Upon arrival into Amman you'll be met at the airport and driven to your hotel. Day 2 Amman This morning you drive up north to explore the Roman ruins of Jerash with a local guide. You have the afternoon at leisure back in Amman — explore the city under your own steam. Day 3 Petra Travel along the 5,000-year-old King's Highway to Petra stopping en route at Mount Nebo, with its spectacular views over the Dead Sea; the Christian mosaics of Madaba; and the crusader castle of Kerak. Day 4 Petra Today you'll enjoy a full day guided tour of Petra. This will probably be one of the highlights of your trip. Day 5 Petra One day is never enough to fully take in the wonders of Petra, so you have an extra day to explore independently. Day 6 The Dead Sea Beginning your journey back north, you'll stop to experience the unique charms of the Dead Sea, with one night at one of the luxurious hotels. On the way you'll enjoy a guided tour of the vast, stunning landscapes of Wadi Rum. Day 7 Cairo In the morning you'll be driven to Amman Airport for a flight to Cairo. Here you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the city. Day 8 Cairo This morning you'll be met at your hotel by your private guide for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza, Memphis and Saqqara. Day 9 Cairo Today you'll be picked up by your guide for a half day tour of Cairo Museum, where the apparent disarray belies the vast collection of treasures on display. Day 10 Aswan After breakfast you'll be taken to the airport in time for a short flight to Aswan, where you'll be greeted and driven to your cruise ship in time for lunch. In the afternoon visit Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Day 11 Esna This morning set sail to Kom Ombo, visiting the temple of Sobek and Haroeris. The boat continues to Edfu where you'll have a chance to explore the temple of Horus and uncover the legend behind it. Day 12 Luxor Sail through the famous Esna lock to reach the magnificent temple complexes of Luxor and Karnak today. Day 13 El Quseir Disembark after breakfast and cross to the West Bank to visit the Theban Necropolis, Valley of the Kings and Deir el Bahari of Hatshepsut. You will then be driven to El Quseir on the Red Sea. Day 14 El Quseir Day at leisure. Day 15 El Quseir Day at leisure. Day 16 International return flight After breakfast you'll be driven to Hurghada Airport for a flight to Cairo, ready for your return international flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
