Pounda Paou, Paou - Pelion Peninsula
Pounda Paou, set amongst olive trees overlooking the Pagasitic Gulf is over an hours drive from of the city of Volos. Sitting beside its lovely swimming pool or down on the private jetty watching the fishermen casting their nets into the blue waters of the Pagasitic Gulf, it might just as well be half a world away.
If your idea of a perfect holiday is freedom from pressure and time to enjoy the simple things in life, then Pounda Paou will appeal to you. The accommodation is simple, yet quirky with traditional furnishings all with balconies or terraces offering a variety of views. Steps and pathways through the garden lead on to the shaded Jacuzzi and swimming pool with sensational views. There is a sunbathing terrace by the jetty and Paou beach is just a ten minute walk away. Each morning at breakfast guests are asked if they wish to have dinner at the property that evening, the hotel has a reputation for its meals, made with fresh, mainly local ingredients with a menu that varies daily.
As the property is isolated, we have included the option of a motor boat or car hire for the duration of your stay or for the best of both worlds you can choose a three day combination of both which allows you to explore both by sea and land. The motor boats can be used until 4/5pm each day giving you the freedom to see a completely different aspect of the coastline. For an alternative choice of tavernas one can venture to the waterside village of Horto around the headland from Pounda Paou, which is twenty minutes by car quicker by boat, Milina with a wider choice or Argalasti a ten minute drive from Paou.
