Grand Hotel Gardone Riviera, Lake Garda - Italian Lakes

For a holiday on Lake Garda, this lovely hotel is an ideal choice – it sits right on the edge of the lake.

ROOMS

The 167 rooms are either double rooms (photo) or larger junior suites, all with a bath, hairdryer, bathrobes, safe, air-conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, balcony and a lake view. Junior suites have the added benefit of a sitting area and some have a separate shower in the bathroom.

LIVING

The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast and a daily three course table d’hôte dinner menu and has a beautiful terrace for alfresco dining with fabulous views of the lake, why not enjoy your breakfast here. À la carte dining is served at the ‘Giardino Dei Limoni’ terrace restaurant by the pool overlooking the lake. The pool bar serves snacks at lunch in a glorious setting on a shaded tree covered terrace.

Within the hotel gardens you will find the heated outdoor pool, whirlpool and sunbathing terraces. Here you will also find direct access to the lake from the gardens for an alternative spot to swim.

Other facilities in the hotel include a sauna, Turkish bath and a treatment room offering a variety of massages.

Winnie’s Bar is a perfect location for an after dinner drink with older style live music most nights.

We found this hotel quite delightful and in a convenient location close to Vittoriale Theatre and the Botanical Gardens. Lake Garda ferries call at the Piazza Wimmer next to the hotel, so convenient for enjoying the beauty of the area from the water.

We will get you here from the airport by private taxi in about 1 hour.

LOCATION

The lake is best seen from a ferry and they stop outside the hotel.  The Botanical Gardens are nearby and walks by the water are a real delight.
