Starting in the historic city of Zurich, with its medieval old town which spreads alongside the river Limmat, you will then head up into the majestic Alps, staying in the charming village of Wengen, in the shadow of the mountain triumvirate, the Eiger, Mönch and Jüngfrau. From here you can take the mountain railway to the Jüngfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, home to the Sphinx Observatory, which overlooks a vast glacier.
