Jungle Bay Resort & Spa - Dominica
The creation of Jungle Bay was a labour of love for owner Sam Raphael. Hand-crafted from local materials, the resort consists of 60 stone and hardwood villas, overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the highly biodiverse Soufriere & Scotts Head Marine Reserve. The resort offers an excellent programme of nature-based activities, excursions and wellness experiences, all included in the price. Yoga classes and daily spa treatments (included) will soothe aching muscles, or relax in Jungle Bay’s infinity swimming pool, which boasts a spectacular sea view.

LocationOn Dominica’s unspoilt south west coast, approximately 20 minutes from the capital, Roseau, 392 feet above the Caribbean Sea, Scotts Head Marine Reserve, and the village of Soufriere.
AccommodationThe 60 delightful designed eco villas are scattered across a hillside, nestled within banana plants, tropical trees and flowers. The hotel is overlooking the Scotts Head Marine Reserve and the village of Soufriere. The eco villas are tastefully decorated with Bamboo furnishings. Guests can either choose to take a whole villa (Villa Suite) or a room in a villa (Villa Room). Each room features bamboo furnishings, spa bathroom with rainfall shower, luxury eco-friendly body products, tea/coffee making facilities, a mini fridge and a balcony. The spacious Villa Suites provide a lounge/sitting area and a large balcony. Please note, Villas are not air conditioned but have been designed to take full advantage of the coastal breeze.
Restaurants And BarsThe Calabash Restaurant & Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The daily-changing menus focus on tasty, wholesome meals with a particular emphasis on fresh seafood, chicken and vegetarian dishes prepared using locally-grown organic produce.

FacilitiesThe resort’s stunning infinity pool with whirlpool is surrounded by spacious sundecks overlooking the ocean. There are also hiking trails, two huge 2,500-square-feet yoga studios, a small gym, recreation area, and gift shop. The tranquil Bamboo Spa has 14 therapy rooms and offers a holistic selection of treatments including massages, pedicures, manicures and facials. A comprehensive programme of daily activities and excursions is complimentary for all guests and caters to all fitness levels; activities include waterfall hikes, visits to local villages, nature walks, ocean kayaking and snorkelling trips. Diving can also be arranged at an additional cost. Within the Jungle Bay site, there are tropical fruit trees, a banana and pineapple plantation, and a tropical vegetable and herb garden to explore.
