Palazzo Avino - Ravello
Originally built in the 12th century, this is a beautifully renovated hotel, just five minutes’ walk from the centre of Ravello, 1,000 feet above sea level with spectacular views towards the Amalfi coast.
Set in terraced gardens, the hotel (formerly known as Palazzo Sasso) has a large, open-air heated swimming pool and a rooftop sun terrace with two jacuzzi pools. There are 43 bedrooms, Michelin two-starred restaurant (dinner only) and an informal grill on the terrace. In 2009 the hotel introduced ‘Clubhouse by the Sea’, a beautiful waterside villa offering a salt water pool, living rooms, lush gardens, and a small restaurant serving pizza and sea food. A path leads through the gardens to stone steps that descend to the sea. A shuttle runs to the villa throughout the day. Hotel open 2 April – 25 October.
